What are premenstrual disorders?
PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder) is the most recognised premenstrual disorder, but under this umbrella is also PME (premenstrual exacerbation) which is the worsening of symptoms of a pre-existing condition such as depression, ADHD or PTSD, to name a few. In the UK PMDD may also be diagnosed as severe PMS so although it’s not technically a disorder, it’s included here within the PMD Balance Movement.
